CHANGE IS GOOD...besides it's just hair.

                    Lest you think that I am just a pretty face
with long, lush, golden blond locks...

I decided to cut my hair.

No longer did I want to be defined by the length of my hair
No longer did I want hide under the veil of fleeting beauty

you know I'm kidding, right?

Besides, it was always getting in the way when I brushed my teeth.

I was in the mood for a change.

 I conveyed my hairstyle hopes to Kristen, my beautician.
She tried- bless her heart, but she is no miracle worker.

She gave it a good go.
Some girls just have to do the best with what God gave them.

I was going for the Heidi Klum or Victoria Beckham look.

I think I landed somewhere between He-Man and Bonnie Hunt.

Ah well, change is good.

I do love my new haircut. (Kristen if you are reading this...I promise I do.)
It's an amazing haircut and can do many things.

For instance,

here's how I look with my new haircut when someone says;

       "Wow...is that you Hilary?
You look like you are twenty years old and have the body to match!"

In reality...Here is my new look when someone says;

"wow, looks like you are expecting again- oops, sorry..(awkward silence)...nice hair though."

Here's my new look when I get a phone call saying;
'hi, this is the elementary school,
your son has been waiting here for an hour for you."

Here's my new look when I say "dinner's ready"
and my teenager son takes a look and says...
"what else ya got?"

Here's my new look when my husband says;
"well...looks like you got things handled...do you mind if I just go to bed early?"

Here's my new look when someone cuts ahead of me in line at the grocery store.

           Here's my new look when I "accidentally" cut in front of someone in line at the grocery store.

                                                     Here's my new look when;
                                          I find out my daughter has a little, innocent crush;

                                      This is my new look when;
 I find out he's really cute...he likes her too...and they've been texting.

Here's my new look when one of my children says;
"I love playing at ___'s house...it's always so clean and quiet and it never even smells like diapers."

Here's my new look when my sassy seven year old tries to compliment me by saying;
"mom, I promise you don't look like He-Man...well, kind of,
                    but he just has way more muscles."

Thanks River, I'll take that.

Did I mention, change is good?
